Assembly
Lay Panels flat with right sides up and longest edges together.
Using a flat zipper seam, start at one end and work up toward the middle of the panels, 85/95 stitches total or to your desired length.
Finish off.
Trimming
With right sided facing, attach your yarn with a Sl St at the furthest most point where you created the seam and Chain 1.
HDC in the same space, and work up the angled side evenly in HDC.
When you reach the corner place 3 HDC in the corner stitch.
Now work 1 HDC in each HDC stitch up the side until you reach the Chain 1 spaces.
Working only in the Chain 1 spaces, place 2 HDC in each Chain 1 space.
When you reach the end with all HDC place 1 HDC in each stitch.
Place 3 HDC in the corner, and work up the angled side evenly in HDC.
Place 4 HDC in the next corner.
Work evenly down the next side in HDC.
When you Reach the seam, place 1 HDC in the join and then continue down the next panel in HDC evenly.
Place 4 HDC in the next corner and HDC evenly down the angled side.
Place 3 HDC in the next corner and HDC evenly until you reach the Chain 1 spaces.
Working only in the Chain 1 spaces, place 2 HDC in each Chain 1 space.
When you reach the end with all HDC place 1 HDC in each stitch.
Place 3 HDC in the corner, and work up the angled side evenly in HDC, then place 2 HDC in the same space you started in and Sl St together.
Finish off and weave in you ends!

Have you ever thought of seaming up the sides to make sleeves and more of a cardigan. It looks like it would work from looking at the pictures. Thanks for the pattern.
There are some plans in the works for different variations ?
This is really one of my favorite crochet patterns of the year! The pattern design is beautiful and the piece itself is so unique. I just love this design.
Thank you SO much!
Could you explain what is meant by “1 HDC ‘around’ next chain space”?
I like to crochet around the chain, not through it, I think it looks cleaner. But you can work the stitch however you please ?
I see, I guess the word “space” threw me. Thanks.
What a beautiful pattern. I’ve just started making it and the instructions are clear and well written. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much!
I’m having difficulty with Row 4, I have an extra bobble from Row 2 that doesn’t match up with anything. Each row has 20 bobbles. I’m very confused. Rows 1 2 and 3 are counted correctly, but I have six extra stitches at the end of Row 3 when I am supposed to hdc3 HDC two together in last two at the end of Row 4.
As per the pattern you are doing a hdc2tog at the beginning and end of each row. You should be going down by 2 stitches for you total on every row.
Loving the pattern so far, but row 14 is confusing me, particularly between the asterisks. Is that hdc around the chain space, like in row 13 and 15?
I place my stitches around the chain space not in the stitch, I believe it looks cleaner that way. You can work the chain space however you feel comfortable! ?
