About This Flat Christmas Tree Crochet Pattern

This free pattern was designed using Local Grown Cotton, a CYC 4 worsted weight yarn, but you can use any yarn you want!

To make this small tree we will begin at the top of the tree and work our way down with increases on every other row. This will slowly increase the base and height of the little trees so you can do as many row repeats as you would like until your flat Christmas tree is the size you desire!

This simple crochet Christmas tree is an easy skill level pattern that only uses a few basic crochet stitches and is suitable for beginner crocheters. So if you can make chains, STsc, Half Double Crochet and Back Loop Only (blo) Slip Stitch, all US Terms, then you can make this great pattern!

The Stacked Single Crochet (STsc) is very easy, you basically create a single crochet as normal and then create another onto top for added height to match the half double crochete. This makes for a very clean edge on your flat little tree!

Flat Christmas Tree in Different Sizes

This easy pattern can be adapted to use any yarn weight and hook combo you have on hand to create a variety of sizes! Here’s how:

Choose the yarn you would like to use and the appropriate hook size. Follow the pattern as written and add or subtract row repeats to reach you desired size!.

BE sure to leave long enough ends so that you can weave them in easily with you yarn needle.
