What Crochet Stitch is Best for a Skirt?

The best stitch for a crochet skirt won’t over stretch and will give good movement to the fabric you create. That is why for this simple crochet skirt pattern I chose to use the classic granny stitch in rows.

Simple stitches like the granny stitch make a beautiful pattern fro summer skirts like this one.

What Yarn is Best to Crochet a Skirt?

There are many suitable yarns for this great skirt, however you will want to choose something that is appropriate for the time of year that you will be wearing this adorable skirt.

If you are making this stunning crochet skirt pattern for warm weather it would be best to choose a cotton blend or something of similar fiber content such as linen. You may also make this cute skirt for when the weather chills by using a natural wool. Just be sure to get a slip since this piece falls into the airy skirts category.
