Gauge Measurements

STITCHES by ROWS

  • PRE-Blocked: 5.5 by 5.25 inches.
  • Blocked: 6 by 6.75 inched
  • Yarn type and blocking method will affect this, read more below.

Blocking and Gauge

  • Gauge is given as PRE-Blocked and Blocked for a finished swatch. If your swatch is too small go up a hook size, if it is too big go down a hook size.
  • Your method of blocking will also affect the size of your finished piece, wet vs steamed, ect.
  • I used steam blocking for my sample.
  • This is a VERY lacy crochet stitch and can grow significantly. How much it grows will depend heavily on fiber and tension in your stitches.
  • Cottino used in this sample has typically held its stitches very well for me, however, this stitch pattern allows for a lot of growth.
  • If using a 100% Cotton you may not get as much growth in your fabric, however, using 100% wool yours may be even larger than the sample. A test swatch is very important!
