Design Story and Inspiration
Does this pattern look familiar? If you have been making Life and Yarn Patterns for a while then you may recognize it! This is a new version of the Varley Shawl! Varley was on of my favorite designs made with one of my favorite yarns! It was offered as a Lion Brand Kit, but sadly the yarn I used was discontinued! Being a popular design we decided to make a new sample in a new yarn!
So, while they look similar, they are actually quite different, from yarn weight to hook size, this is essentially a new pattern. The original Varley will remain available for those of you that may want to make it in a sport weight and the new version in DK weight will be here! Get started making this Easy Free Crochet Shawl Pattern with the free pattern in this blog post!
About the Yarn
Coboo is hands down one of my favorite yarns. I love all cotton blends and this one is no exception! Cotton Bamboo blends create beautiful, neat stitches with absolutely amazing drape! I have made a few patters in this yarn like this raglan cardigan, the sampler shawl, and this shawl with tassels, I might even be missing a few!
