Free Gorgeous Mandala Yarn Crochet Blanket Pattern + YouTube
Crochet this Beautiful Blanket using Lion Brand Mandala Yarn with this Free Crochet Pattern and YouTube Video Tutorial! This Crochet Project made with self-striping yarn is an intermediate skill level free pattern but also has an option for a printable pdf.
You only need basic crochet skills to make this blanket pattern using basic stitches like chains, slip stitch, single crochet stitches and double crochet stitches. While I wouldn’t consider them special stitches, just less common, we will also use treble crochet stitches, double treble crochet stitches and triple treble crochet stitches! Happy Crocheting!

Is Mandala Yarn Good For Blankets?
Mandala yarn is great for blankets especially because the color changes are done for you! The Mandala Yarn line has grown but original Mandala is by far my favorite as it looks wonderful in many stitch patterns like single crochet, puff stitch, shell stitches, textural stitches and so much more!
There are a ton of Beautiful Mandala Crochet Patterns available from Lion Brand as Kits where you get the yarn and downloadable pattern that you can read on your phone or print! This self-striping yarn will save you so much time and you will end up with a stunning blanket that can be machine washed and dried!

What Size Hook Do You Use With Mandala Yarn?
On the label the recommend hook to use with Mandala Yarn is a 5.00 mm hook. However, depending on the crochet pattern that you are following that may not be he right size for you to achieve the correct gauge. If you are having a hard time meeting gauge try going up or down a hook size.
A Bit More About this Zigzag Crocheted Triangle Stitch
This afghan pattern isn’t just for advanced crocheters! At first this zigzag crochet pattern might look like it has a lot of new stitches, but it is just created with a unique placement of basic stitches. This is a great project for an advanced beginner because once you get the first row completed it’s easy to continue the pattern.
Using a yarn like Lion Brand Mandala with this stitch is fun because changes happen throughout the rows and make a beautiful mosaic pattern. However, this stitch would be stunning with different colors in solids, bright colors of scrap yarn or a hand dyed tonal! So grab a hook, some yarn, get cozy with one of your favorite tv shows and make a beautiful crochet afghan with me!
