Easy Striped Crochet Blanket using Moss Stitch
Learn how to crochet the moss stitch and make this beautiful crochet striped blanket using bulky weight yarn! The moss stitch is an easy crochet stitch that only uses two stitches and is sometimes called the linen stitch. This stripy moss stitch blanket uses a new to the market yarn from Mary Maxim that is unbelievably soft.

What is the Best Crochet Stitch for Striped Blanket?
The Moss Stitch or Linen Stitch is best for a striped crochet blanket! This is because it is a simple stitch that shows off the stripes but isn’t too dense. Made using only single crochet stitches and chain spaces, the moss stitch is a light weight stitch that works well in any yarn.

- * Designates a repeat.
- There is not a “ch 1” at the beginning of each row to create a cleaner edge.
- The Baby and Afghan Patterns are broken down into two separate patterns since the striping and colors are different. The Afghan uses 3 different colored stripes between the main stripes, while the baby blanket only uses one, so choose colors accordingly. There are 5 Colors used on the Afghan and 3 Colors used on the Striped Baby Blanket.
