I had a lot of fun designing this free crochet beanie pattern in all sizes! Yup, you read that right, I designed this crochet hat for babies, to toddlers, to women, to men and so many sizes in between! Keep reading for this free unisex crochet beanie hat pattern below!
Design Story and Inspiration
I have seen so many knit double brim beanies and they look so cozy, but my knitting skills are not strong! I have had this amazingly soft Mary Maxim Mellowspun Yarn sitting in my yarn stash for a while now and it was just screaming to be something. I really needed a fast project to cleanse my crochet pallet since I have been working on so many large projects, so I decided to design a free crochet double brim beanie pattern!
A beanie was perfect but I wanted just a bit of a challenge, so I decided to try a crochet double brim beanie! Once I got going and after a bit of trial and error, I have to say it was not as complicated as I anticipated. I am so happy with the cozy result and I hope you are too! By using all single crochet and working in the round without turning you get a knit like look with these simple crochet stitches! I love crochet, I feel like so much is possible with it and its truly underestimated! This is such a fun and easy crochet project, I will surely be using this unisex beanie pattern for this years Christmas Gifts!

on th Fsc, how can you yarn over and pull up a loop, twice and both times have 2 loops on hook??
Each time you are replacing one loop with a new loop so you still have 2 loops. The first time created the bottom of the fsc and the second time completes the stitch.
