The Fisher Tunic made in Fair Isle Harbor Yarn is a great free crochet pattern for a beginner, using simple color blocking to add interest. This tunic can be styled in so many ways! Long enough for leggings or prefect with a belt and jeans!

4.50 mm Crochet Hook

1 Skein of Color B – I used Wheat
160 (160, 160, 170, 180, 180) yds color B (CC)
#2 Sport Yarn (Fair Isle Harbor)

Gauge

17 sts x 8 rows is 4”x4” in DC

Stitch Descriptions and Abbreviations

  • Chain Stitch – CH – yarn over, pull yarn through stitch on hook.
  • Slip Stitch – Sl St – Insert hook into stitch or space, yarn over, pull yarn through both loops on hook.
  • Foundation Double Crochet – FDC
  • Double Crochet – DC – Yarn over, insert hook into stitch or space, pull up a loop, (3 loops on hook), yarn over, pull through 2 loops, yarn over, pull through remaining loops.
  • * * – Designates a repeat.
  • SIZES – XS (S, M, L, XL, 2X)
  • Bust – 32” (34”, 36”, 40”, 44”, 50”)
  • See Diagrams for sizing measurements and choose your best fit.
  • Tunic is designed have about 2” of positive ease, so size up or down for the type of fit you would like.
  • CH 2 does NOT count as a DC.

Assembly

With Right Sides Facing (based on preference) attach your yarn at the bottom widest point and seam up 46 (46, 46, 48, 48, 48) Rows towards your color change to create the arm hole.

Finish off and repeat on other side.

At the top outermost point, reattach your yarn to create the shoulder. Seam in 20 stitches to create the neck opening.

Finish off and repeat on other side.
