The Stacy Story

The Stacy Beanie is by far my most popular design AND Stacy has a story.

I love The Stacy so much! This Beanie was the first design I was super passionate and confident about. It’s such a fun stitch combination and works up quickly. The Stacy is the perfect weekend project. But she didn’t have a name. I really wanted this Beanie to have a name, I wanted it to have a personality. She needed to connect to the maker or the wearer.

I have become so passionate about my designs that I feel their names deserve some serious thought! Yes, a bit crazy, I know. So while brainstorming I came up with Stacy.

Stacy is the fun, hip mom-type, she wants to be stylish but not look like she’s trying to hard. She loves little details but simplicity. She’s all about her kids and family but still makes room for a coffee with friends. She loves the city, but lives in the suburbs and loves chocolate and peppermint. She wants accessories that she can wear but also gift to her teenage daughter that her friends will think are cool. Maybe her mom would love one too! So The Stacy Beanie was born.

I love using this stitch combo together. It’s just the right amount of detail to make it stand out, but not so much that it looks like yarn vomit. I have been creating Stacy’ in colors that “speak” to me. Too many times I have bought colors because they are trending. I’ve decided no more of that, and I want my yarn stash to show who I am without me saying it. I am steadily filling it with lots of saturated jewel tones, like teal and burgundy, earthy greens, greys, and dusty pinks that remind me of my grandma. This all started with Stacy.

Stacy is becoming a collection as well! The pattern for The Stacy Cowl has been released and there are more pieces coming to The Stacy Line Up! Can you tell I’m excited!? All the links are listed below including supplies! I will add more links as they become available! Patterns and Made to Order!
